Valentine's Day Lush Collection 2015

Valentine's Day Lush Collection 2015
Valentine's Day - you either love it or you hate it... depending on your relationship status. Personally even being a single gal, I love it - especially when it comes to Lush products! I mean, Lush Cosmetics is one of the things that makes Valentine's Day a little more bearable if you're planning on spending it alone (or even if you have a special someone... though squeezing two people in a bathtub can be quite the challenge!). Luckily for me, this year I'm spending the day of love in America with friends - though I'll most likely spend it in a hot tub with a tub of Ben and Jerrys, I'm not even sorry.

So what have Lush got in store for this February? Well, they have a limited edition shower gel, two bathbombs, two bubble bars, a soaps and a lip scrub! Unfortunately the only product I'm missing is the The Kiss Lip Gloss! Let's have a look at this lovely collection!

Floating Flower Bathbomb - £3.50 // Love Locket Bathbomb - £6.95
Bathbombs. The things that Lush are known best for - and by far my favourite products they make in their magical soapy kitchen! The 'Floating Flower' bathbomb is a new addition and blimey - it's a very powerful (and beautiful) scent of Jasmine. The shape of it just looks super jazzy, and it does what it says on the label, it floats! It's a slow fizzing bathbomb leaving your bath water a very pretty pink. If you enjoy Lush's heavy scents, this is a must-buy product before it leaves the shelves!

Next we have the ol' 'Love Locket' bathbomb. I was looking forward to this returning after falling in love with it last year. What's so good about this one? Well, there is enough to last 3 baths (which is good, as this is probably one of Lush's most expensive bathbombs I've seen them sell!). You crack it open to reveal a smaller heart inside (aw, cute - you little heartbreaker!) - so you can use the middle for one bath, and the two halves for two other baths. BRILLIANT. Granted it's not an all singing / all dancing bathbomb, but it does leave your water pink with some cute little heart confetti's floating about. A comforting floral scent.

Heart Throb Bubbleroon - £3.65 // Cupid's Love - £4.25
Here we have a bubbleroon (ooh la la, that's a satisfying word) and a soap. First, let's talk about the bubbleroon, called 'Heart Throb' - I adore the smell of this, it's the scent of "frangipani" - what's that? I had no idea either, but it's a super pretty ornamental plant. There's something VERY soothing about the smell of it. Now there's not much to say about bubblebars - they make LOTS of bubbles. The only thing I'd WARN you about - if you have blonde/bleached hair, this will dye your hair pink as my friend experienced.

'Cupid's Love', ahh I do enjoy the names of Lush products. This little cute heart shaped soap is a very fruity soap, filled with passionfruit and figs! Yum. (Note: This is usually in a bigger and in a different shape!)

The Kiss Lip Scrub - £5.50 // Prince Charming Shower Gel - £4.75 100g
When I heard you could buy 'PRINCE CHARMING' from Lush of course I ran to Lush as fast as I could... I then realised it was a shower gel and not the real thing. Hey, you can't always get what you want in life but that's okay. This is probably my least favourite product from this Valentine's Day collection, but maybe I could grow to love it. It smells like turkish delight (you know, that rose tasting jelly - which actually I like!) however I don't like smelling of it. I think this shower gel is like marmite, you'll love it or hate it. Let me know in the comments!

Next is a lip scrub, I'm a huge fan of the bubblegum one so I was excited to give this a try! 'The Kiss' lip scrub smells very sweet, and has rainbow sprinkles on top (10 points to Lush for that cute touch).
Now this claims to be bubblegum too (it's nothing like their original bubblegum one though), it does taste nice. The only thing that is slightly off-putting for me is that they included fine sea salt as an ingredient so when you lick it off you just taste salt. I think I'll stick to the delicious 'Bubblegum' lip scrub. Sorry Lush.

Unicorn Horn Bubble Bar - £3.25
Finally, the most fun new edition to the Lush family - the 'Unicorn Horn' bubble bar. I couldn't not buy this, look at it! Definitely something I'd happily use to make magical bubbles in my bubble kingdom. It smells of lavender (not my favourite scent) BUT it's subtle and quite pretty. I'm very excited to relax with this unicorn horn. Hey... I wonder what they do with the unicorns after they've stolen their horns. I kid, Lush Cosmetics is animal cruelty free! Hooray!

So - have YOU tried any of the products from the Valentine's Day collection from Lush? Let me know your thoughts in a comment.

MAC Haul

Remember when you were a kid and your parents took you to a sweet shop, and you literally wanted to buy the entire store? Well, this is how I feel when I walk into MAC Cosmetics. There's something magical about make up, and MAC is definitely one of my favourite brands. I certainly don't make a habit of visiting MAC because it's a high-end brand which definitely costs a pretty penny or two - but sometimes a girl has to treat herself... or so I like to tell myself. So let's see what I found in the mystical magical MAC store!

Mineralize Blush - 'Please Yourself' / M.A.C - £21.00

This blush is stunning, it's like crushed Pink diamonds. It's the most beautiful blusher I have ever seen, so of course I couldn't just leave without buying it. This Mineralize Blush in shade 'Please Yourself' is nicely pigmented, and it has a gorgeous glitter shimmer. I'm definitely enjoying more girly pink colours when it comes to blushing my cheeks. I think this blush is going to become a favourite of mine (if it hasn't already!) - what more is there to say? It's perfect.
Amplified Creme Lipstick - 'Impassioned' / M.A.C - £15.50 | Frost Lipstick - 'Angel' / M.A.C - £15.50
I've only ever bought one lipstick from MAC prior to this trip, which is in my favourite shade "Russian Red" - I've always been drawn to a classic Red lip. However lately I've started to enjoy more natural shades and Pinks. I wanted to get "Creme Cup" but of course it was out of stock! So I got the closest colour to that which is "Angel" - it's a lovely natural lip colour which I'm very excited to wear! The next shade I bought was "Impassioned" (really awkward when you ask the shop assistant for "I'm Passioned" - oops!) - this colour is a very sassy pink, but not too neon! I think this will be perfect for spring!

Mineralize Eye Shadow - "A Waft Of Grey" / M.A.C - £33.00
I'm running out of descriptive words here, because everything from MAC is either stunning, beautiful or gorgeous - and this quad eye shadow is no exception! This is MAC's Mineralize "A Waft Of Grey" quad palette, and it really does get me excited just looking at it! Look at that sparkly silver, ooh it makes me feel happy. This is the perfect palette if you're into that sassy smokey eye look!

Pro Eye Makeup Remover / M.A.C - £10 | Zoom Fast Black Lash Mascara / M.A.C - £10
These last two items were more of a whim, they're the little treats MAC like to hide at the counter where you pay, so of course I picked them up and shoved them into my basket! I'm travelling to America soon, so they will be perfect for my travel make up bag! Little did I know that MAC sell these travel miniatures for £10... each. Ouch! Now, minus the hefty price for what I would call product samples / travel size - I do know that the Zoom Fast Lash mascara is great. I had a smaller sample of this mascara and I fell in love with it a while ago. As for the small Pro Eye Makeup Remover... I'm not sure it was worth the money I paid for it - mainly because it's pretty much the same as the Micellar Cleansing Water I use from Garnier for about a third of the price (at full size!). Nevermind, they will certainly come in handy on my travels!

As always, thank you for reading - see you next Wednesday!

New Year, New Start

We're already one week into 2015, and I'm still in the process of attempting to organise my life! So what do I want to achieve this year? I guess you could call these New Year Resolutions, but I never keep those - so I'd rather just call it my to-do list! (who doesn't love a good list?)

"I love New Years. I love the fact that I'll be leaving a whole year behind me, no matter if it was good, bad, or average. I like that kind of closure. I love this feeling of starting over again and having a fresh year ahead of me, filled with new chance, new experiences."

Drink More - No, I'm not a closet alcoholic. I'm talking about drinking more water. It seems obvious to keep our bodies hydrated, yet drinking water or any drink for that matter is something I've struggled with for a long time. It sounds silly, how can someone forget to drink water? Honestly I've no idea, but I think it'll do me a lot of good! Here's to being healthier!

Positivity - This year I want to continue to surround myself with positivity and positive people - I get a lot of inspiration and motivation from people who make me happy. I'm going to be 25 this year, that's a quarter of my life (if not more!)... and I guess over the last few years I've grown to accept that it's okay to choose who you spend your adventures and your life with. I personally don't have time for people who have either a negative effect on me, or don't want to be here on my journey with me. However I do have a lot of time for people who make me feel alive, happy and inspired. Positivity is contagious, and unfortunately so is negativity.

Sleeping Routine - This one for me will be the hardest. Ever since I stopped secondary/high school, my sleeping pattern destroyed itself. It didn't help that most of my jobs before YouTube were bars/pubs and had late hours - so I'd always get to bed at 2am, and I guess that just stuck. Working from home sounds glorious, and in many ways it is - but part of me wishes I had to get up at 8am like people who have jobs outside their home. I've always called myself a night owl, I get most of my motivation in the evenings, and I've often found myself up at 3am most nights - this has to change somehow. Wish me luck!

Wanderlust - Ahh wanderlust, something I never thought I'd get - the desire to travel and see more of this world we live each day on. This definitely began in 2014, and I want to roll it over into 2015 too. Luckily for me I'm starting this year off by flying to America for Playlist Live in February - I'm extremely excited. Where else do I want to visit? Who knows. Italy, France, New York, Australia... The world is literally my playground. And as much as I hate the world yolo - you DO only live once, and I want to see more of this planet before I leave.

Work Hard, Play Harder - I've always worked hard, but I this year I mean serious business. I started 2014 making 1 video a week, I then boosted that up to 3 a week for a while! So what's on the schedule for this year? Well, I'm definitely making videos every Monday and Friday. Where has Wednesday gone? I felt like I was slacking on making my videos good to make sure I stuck to my schedule since July - and in turn lost some of the quality. So Wednesday's are now dedicated to this blog! Yes, weekly blog posts here on from now on! In fact maybe even more than one, I do enjoy writing and photographing things. I want to stick to this schedule this year! If I have extra videos I may upload more than 2 a week (party popper!)

Another thing with uploading less - something I haven't spoken much about, is my noggin (head) - it's still not right after my accident in Egypt - leaving me feeling sluggish and more tired than usual, and I still have dizzy spells. So I'm trying to be kind to my brain until I see a specialist or it miraculously fixes itself (fingers crossed!)

Appreciate - I consider myself a very grateful and appreciative person anyway, but I feel as though I don't tell you enough. I wouldn't be able to do so many of the cool things I do if it wasn't for you. If you take the time out of your day to read my blog, or watch my YouTube videos - then here is a THANK YOU for you. I know my online family has grown a bit over the last two years, but I do value each one of you, I really do. I may not reply to everyone, but I do try to see as much as I possibly can - but most importantly I know you are there. Yes, even you.

So here's to 2015, I hope it's a good one filled with super amazing things, and you'll continue to come along with me!

Stay happy, and I'll see you here next week!
