Christmas Treats

Christmas shopping is no doubt a chore, so this year I came up with a strategy to make it more bearable,  by buying presents for myself as well... oh come on we've all done it! So let's have a look what I snuck into my shopping basket!

Titanium Multi-Colour Eyelash Curlers & Tweezers | The Creme Shop - £5.99
I'd been wanting a brand new set of tweezers / eyelash curlers for a while because the ones I own I've literally had for years and they got a bit old and tatty! The ones I found I literally went 'ooh!' when I saw them sitting lonely on a shelf in TK Maxx, mainly because they were so COLOURFUL. They're titanium with a multi-coloured finish - so I know they'll last me a long time as titanium is a very strong metal. They're by a brand called The Creme Shop - which unfortunately don't seem to stock them anymore! Boo.

Power Bank | iWave - £12.99
Sticking with cool colours, this little device is something I have wanted to get my hands on for a long time! It's called a Power Bank, by iWave. I travel on trains quite a lot, they can be quite tedious journeys so I always have my iPhone or iPad with me for entertainment - and THERE IS NOTHING WORSE than when you run out of battery (or Apple juice, get it? GET IT? I'll get my coat...)! This device once fully charged at home will then charge my devices up to 2.5x on the go! So no more running out of battery. What a wonderful invention.

Sleek Loves GEL NAILS | Sleek Makeup - £4.99
What would a little haul from me be without a nail varnish? Here's one I bought recently which has become a favourite of mine, it's a classic Red. This beauty is from Sleek Makeup in the shade 'Viper' - which is part of their Gel NAILS collection. What's the difference between normal nail varnish and this one? Honestly, I can't tell much difference except maybe it's a little bit more shiny. Regardless, it doesn't chip and it's a beautiful colour, especially for Christmas time!

Full Cover Nails (Active Square) | Nailene - £8.49
So, I used to bite my nails SO much growing up, I literally tried everything - including that magic liquid that makes your fingers taste NASTY... but unfortunately none of that stuff worked (I just ended up getting used to that horrible taste in my mouth...)! Nail biting was something I grew out of about 4 years ago, and I've been growing them and painting them every colour you could think of ever since! However this month I cut them all short due to some of them breaking... so I invested in some false nails so they looked nice whilst my real nails grew. Now, I've always hated false nails, especially those "no glue required" ones because they just PING off everywhere, ew. So I bought some which used real glue, from Nailene. They're GLORIOUS, and they look natural and I forget that they're not my own. They even look good unpainted, but my main point is that with these you can design them how you want them to - very impressed (and I never thought I'd say that about false nails)!

Girls Night Lashes by Cheryl | Eylure - £6.00
Continuing with things you can stick onto yourself, false eyelashes! I'm not actually sure why I bought these as I hate the process of putting them on - but I know that they always look GREAT after avoiding getting glue into my eyes and battling with a pair of tweezers. I've never been one for the really fake looking lashes that feel like you're wearing little heavy umbrellas on your eyelids - but I am for ones that enhance the lashes you already have and still look natural. These lovely fluttery lashes are by Eylure and are a Cheryl Cole... Fernandez-Versini? (I'm not even sure how to pronounce that!) exclusive. Very pleased with these, they're nice and lightweight!

And here is where I think I'll wrap this post up... I mean I did buy more than that, mainly chocolate and a few films (The Hunger Games / Catching Fire) and a lot of Christmas food. Seriously how are you meant to fit a large turkey into your fridge AND the rest of your food, I didn't quite think that one through did I?

Thank you for reading, and I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas... I'll be back here next week! Follow me on BlogLovin!

Urban Outfitters Haul

Urban Outfitters, what can I say? I can never enter this shop without leaving with at least two things. My personal favourite is the miscellaneous section, and the books. I don't usually buy clothes from there, though one of my favourite hats is from UO. I just can't resist all of the random quirky bits and bobs they sell, usually stuff I don't actually need but end up having a burning desire for... so here's what I got on my last visit to Urban Outfitters!

Ombre Hair Chalk Set - £12 / Urban Outfitters
Firstly, I must say I have seen this product in Urban Outfitters MILLIONS of times and never bought it. Why? Because I've usually already picked up 10 things and tell myself I don't need to spend any more money... but this time I decided it was time to put it in my basket.

Now most of you know I used to LOVE having coloured hair, bright red, purple, turquoise... but unfortunately I can't dye my hair anymore due to bleach damage. So why not try the next best thing? HAIR CHALK. The colours that come in this set are GORGEOUS. Purples, Pinks, Turquoise... and pastels. I won't lie, I was a bit sad to find them all broken when I opened up the box, but C'est le vie.

Now, I normally post really positive reviews on here, but I'm going to be super honest (not everything can please me unfortunately!) - I was quite disappointed with this product... I was hoping the chalk would actually show up (even on dark hair) but unfortunately it didn't. I tried it on dry/damp/wet hair (after definitely following the instructions) and didn't have much luck! Also it really dried my hair out. Now it's not a FULLY negative review for these, because I reckon these would work BRILLIANTLY on blonde hair. So I guess this isn't the solution for my hair colouring itch/brunettes! Nevermind! The next two products are FANTASTIC...

Holographic Nail Varnish | W.I.P - £12 / Urban Outfitters
I can not PRAISE this product enough. I thought I'd seen every nail varnish possible (my collection is getting out of hand) but NO. I saw this by the tills in UO, and I was BLOWN AWAY! This is by far one of the most beautiful and majestic nail varnishes I have ever purchased. It's HOLOGRAPHIC, which means it goes rainbow when the light hits it. I think Urban Outfitters do some of the best nail varnishes on the market, I have never been disappointed by their range. Granted, the price is more than the usual bog-standard nail varnish but I promise you it's worth it!

Queen of F*cking Everything Mug - £9 / Urban Outfitters
Well, I think this purchase is pretty self explanatory... haha! This was the first thing I saw when entering UO this time, and it made me literally laugh out loud. It's just so SASSY. If there is one mug I want to drink my morning coffee out of, it's this one - because I am the Queen of F*cking everything.

So what do you think about these products? I'd LOVE to hear in the comments if you've ever used the hair chalk from UO if you're brunette and if you had any luck with it? Let me know down below!

I've been wanting to write this blog post for quite a long time, but never found the right words, so here goes.

I've had anxiety for a few years now, to the point it's become a daily battle - and I found comfort in knowing I know that I'm not the only one. This year in particular has been a huge anxiety rollercoaster, why? I don't know. Anxiety isn't something that's easily explained, or understood.

I'm going to try and explain it the best I can. The worst thing about suffering from anxiety is not always knowing why you're feeling it, and for me that's the most frustrating part. Most of the time I do know why though, and I do know most of my triggers.

- Travelling alone - the fear of missing trains or getting lost.
- The fear of failure.
- Doing things that are different / new territory / out of my comfort zone.
- The fear of getting emotionally hurt.

Feeling anxious can feel like you're suffocating, and for me it's a very overwhelming feeling. It's mainly feeling sick and extremely unsettled. A deep worry, sometimes over things that don't even need to be worried about. That's the funny part, I *know* I don't need to worry about certain things, so it's almost like your own body/mind is betraying you.

What helps get rid of anxiety? Well, that's a question I'm still trying to answer. I got advised by a doctor to buy some "Kalms" tablets, which are herbal and totally natural. I think they do work, but a part of me feels like it's just a placebo effect. I guess I'll never know.

Music. Music is the one thing I turn to when I feel anxious, it's a welcomed distraction.
Breathing. Something about consciously becoming aware of my breathing makes me feel a lot calmer.

The one thing about dealing with anxiety, is knowing how to handle it. I'm no expert, but I do know that I can't let it control my life, and what I do. At least I try very hard not to let it. You could say I try to fight myself, which is why I called it a daily "battle".

My friend asked me the other day "How do you remain so positive and happy in your videos, even when you're having a bad day?" - honestly? I'm not sure, I guess it's my job so I sort of *have* to get into the zone of my internet persona. Don't get me wrong, I'm not unhappy/anxious all of the time, far from it (I'm a happy bubbly person most of the time) - but I guess my anxiety is a part of me I don't often share/show to the world.

I guess I just wanted to write this for myself, and if it helps someone else knowing that they're not alone with anxiety, then I guess that'll make this worth it.

Anxiety is a massive b*tch. If anxiety was a person I'd quite happily punch it in the face, repeatedly.
However it's not, it's a part of me.

This is where I don't know what else to write, so I think I'm going to leave it there. Do you get anxiety? Leave a comment letting me know what makes it better for you. I'd love to read them!

Lush Haul 2014

Okay, so I know it's only October... I know - but I got too excited and didn't want to wait until November to share these beautiful things from Lush Cosmetics with you! You should know by now that I'm addicted to baths and bathbombs, so of course as soon as Lush released this years Christmas range I couldn't help but buy half of their store. So what's new?

Northern Lights Bathbomb - £3.50
So this bathbomb caught my eye because of it's unusual shape, and how pretty it looked! This is Lush's "Northern Lights" bathbomb. It smells like jasmine and ylang ylang (yeah I don't really know what that is either!) but I do know it smells FANTASTIC! I think the cute little stars are a lovely touch to this bathbomb. It turns your bath into a beautiful purple, blue and yellow swirly night sky. What's not to love?

So White Bathbomb - £3.50 / So White - Shower Gel - £4.50
These were probably the products that I was MOST EXCITED about. Last year I fell in love with the "So White" bathbombs from Lush, they smell so refreshing. It gives of a lot of fizz, and a subtle pink colour! The main scent I get from the So White range is Apple, which I just become addicted to! So to find out that this year they made it into a shower gel!? I was over the moon with happiness, and it certainly didn't disappoint me, it really does smell delicious!

Golden Wonder Bathbomb - £3.75 / Butterbear Bathbomb - £1.95
Another one of my all time Christmas favourites from Lush, the "Golden Wonder" bathbomb. I had to control my temptation to buy hundreds of these last year to last until this Christmas! This one claims to smell of Orange and Lime, but I'm not so sure, whatever it smells like - it's heavenly. This one is super fun to watch fizz away in your bubble kingdom! Beautiful blues, yellows, turquoises... and to top it off it leaves a lovely glitter sheen to your bath water (but not so glittery that you look like Edward Cullen when you get out of the tub!)

The next one I've never used before as it's a new addition to the Lush bathbomb family, which is the "Butterbear" bathbomb! It's an adorable little thing isn't it? This has a very sweet vanilla scent. Though I'll probably feel a little bit guilty melting him in hot water. Poor little bear!

Snow Fairy - Shower Gel 100g - £3.75
The shower gel that everyone wishes wasn't just a Christmas Limited Edition, "Snow Fairy". I have to remind myself that this is soap when I smell it, because I literally want to eat it. I bought myself a large bottle of Snow Fairy last year, and enjoyed it so much - that I decided to get some more this year! Definitely recommend this shower gel if you like sweet candy scented things! And it's pink, that's always a bonus, right?

Luxury Lush Pud Bathbomb - £3.50
I'm fairly certain I saw this "Luxury Lush Pud" bathbomb last Christmas, but for some reason never tried it? No idea why as it's so colourful and festive looking! The little holly and the berries on the top just screams cuteness. This bathbomb is a rainbow explosion when you plop it into your bath, which I think is what makes this one so special. This one has a strong lavender scent, which is just PERFECT for a hot soak before bedtime! Nice and relaxing.

The Christmas Hedgehog - Bubble Bar - £3.25
Now, I'm definitely more of a bathbomb lover than a bubble bar lover - but it was just too cute not to buy? It's a little turquoise (my favourite colour, may I add!) hedgehog. Though I think this little fella got a little bit squashed on his adventure to my house. Never the less, it's still cute. This bubble bar smells like the ocean, or what you'd imagine the ocean to smell like had it turned into a nice scent. It's a very pleasant smell, but I find it hard to describe - you'll have to go and find a Lush shop and give it a sniff for yourself!

Dashing Santa Bathbomb - £2.95
I can't remember if these were around last year, or whether they're new - either way it's festive and what a "Dashing Santa" he is! Very happy with this scent, it's quite Orangey, which certainly makes me feel festive.

Father Christmas Bathbomb - £3.50
The "Father Christmas" bathbomb is probably the one that I think of when people talk about the Christmas range at Lush. I guess that's because it's Santa.. I'd say he looks jolly, but I'm honestly not sure haha! Why do I love this one so much? Well it's got the same scent as Snow Fairy, and it turns your bath a lovely shade of Green... which wasn't what I expected when I first tried one of these! Either way, it's fun and smells utterly yummy.

So what are your favourite festive products from Lush? Let me know in a comment below, and share this post with your friends - you never know, they might take the hint and buy you some for Christmas!

Zoella Beauty

When I heard that Zoe was bringing out her own range of beauty products, well it's safe to say I knew I had to buy some of them! I've been watching Zoe's videos for years, and it's been a fun journey watching her grow and end up with her very own beauty range! (Even though it was a battle buying them online, these naughty little things kept selling out VERY quickly!) So I had been sitting by my letter box for a few days, and today they finally arrived! Hooray!

Zoella - Blissful Mistful Body Mist - £8.00
This was probably the product out of Zoe's range that I was most excited for, I love body mists and anything that will make me smell delightful! I don't usually buy fragrances that I haven't smelt before, but I trusted that Zoe had good taste in scents - and I certainly wasn't disappointed! One thing I love about this is that it's not too 'heavy' - it's a light scent. It's got some REALLY PRETTY high notes, almost floral/fruity at the same time. I'd describe it as quite a calming smell, which I really do like a lot! Yummy.
Zoella - Soak Opera Bath Soak / Shower Cream - £5.00
You all know I'm a huge bath lover, so of course I couldn't not get the bath soak. I just bloomin' love how cute and girly this range is, even the bubble bath is a cute pink colour! This product has quite a delicate scent, in my opinion it's a gentle floral scent. I now want to go and have a bubble bath...

Zoella - Creamy Madly Dreamy Body Lotion - £5.00

What nicer way to get out of a bubble bath than with a matching body lotion... (again can we just point out how cute the packaging is?!) I'm a huge moisturising girl, nothing is worse than feeling like your skin needs a good drink! This lovely body lotion is filled with Vitamin E, Aloe and Shea Butter (my skin likes the sound of that!)... I'd say this product from Zoe has the most subtle scent of  them all. It definitely makes my skin feel soft... lovely!

Now, I only tried 3 products from the Zoella Beauty range (I really wanted the candle/fizzbar but they seem to be the most popular! Damn.) but I can safely say I love these products, Zoe must be really proud of herself. She's managed to create a range that's just so charming, and very Zoe. I can't wait to get my hands on everything else!

NV Colour Makeup

I recently discovered a NEW brand of makeup that I'm really enjoying called NV Colour - and I have to say that I'm pretty darn impressed! Now, I'm going to start by saying I'm a huge packaging lover (is that a little weird? probably) and I certainly enjoyed the way these products looked when they arrived!

NV Colour "Siren" & "Sorbet" Lipsticks - £6.00 (each)

Most of you know I love lipsticks, I love bright colours - especially Red and Pink for my lips. These lipsticks are pretty great, they're nice and pigmented. They also seem to be quite moisturising unlike some that can make your lips feel quite dry? The Red one is called "Siren" and is probably my favourite out of the two, nothing beats a classic red lip. However the pink one (called "Sorbet") is a really lovely colour, and quite similar to one of my favourite lipsticks called "Sweet Tart" by Revlon.

Now something that I thought was pretty nifty about these was the fact the lids are magnetic, I thought it was really cool (it impressed me almost as much as those kitchen draws you can get that are anti-slam and they just sort of... glide shut... I'm going off topic here aren't I?) Overall I really do like these lipsticks, and I think they're going to become a regular product in my everyday makeup routine!

NV Colour "Lagoon" Eyeshadow - £5.00
My favourite colour is turquoise and mint (basically any sort of turquoise colour and I'll love it), so of course I had to try out the Lagoon Blue Eyeshadow from NV. These eyeshadows are quite soft, the pigment is pretty good and seems to hold the colour even without applying primer (always a bonus)! Now back to the cool design, this eyeshadow lifts up and has a mirror AND a little brush inside - which personally I thought was a really cute/handy idea!

NV Colour "Watermelon" Chunky Lip Crayon - £5.00
Now, this may come as a shock to some people - but I've never bought or owned a lip crayon before. So what's the verdict? Well, I love them - they're SO easy to apply, it's sort of like drawing onto your lips. The product itself is very nice, it's not sticky and it just glides on nicely. The only thing I'm a little disappointed about is the fact that it doesn't smell, you guys know I love products that smell great - and unfortunately NV products don't seem to be scented at all. I guess that's more of a personal preference though! This was shade Watermelon!

NV Colour "Black Cat" Felt Tip Eyeliner Pen - £6.00
Now this is probably one of my favourite products I've tried from NV Colour, this is the "Black Cat" Felt Tip Eyeliner Pen - if you suck at eyeliner, maybe this will help you! Eyeliner pens just make eyeliner application so much easier, including wings! I don't think there's much more I need to say about this product - it does what it says on the tin... or the box.

So overall, I'm enjoying these products a lot - they look great, they do what they're meant to do - but as I said earlier, if only they smelt good... with names like Watermelon I had hoped it would smell it (however it doesn't really take away from the products being good, scent or no scent!) Good job NV!

Hello September

Another month has passed, and I'm here welcoming September with a very big hello! Now, don't get me wrong I love summer, but my favourite season is definitely Autumn. September is the month when I start to get excited for the months ahead, fallen leaves, hot chocolates, wool jumpers, halloween, and let's not forget Christmas (I'm already counting down the days, and I'm not even sorry)!

I'm going to start by saying that August was a bad month for me, and I'm certainly happy to see it go. I'm feeling very motivated now we've entered a brand new month. If you watch my YouTube videos (I'm just going to assume that you do, otherwise you wouldn't be here) - you'll have noticed an increase of uploads. I've been really trying to stick to a schedule, which is to upload "every other day" and it seems to be working really well. I remember this time last year I would struggle to think of/film one video idea, let alone 3-4 a week! So I'm feeling quite proud of myself, I'm hoping to keep this up! If you're not already subscribed head over to my channel here!

So what does September hold for me? Well, it started with an exciting meeting - I might be making videos for a certain popular television company soon.. so that's cool.

Writing my EP, majorly excited to get recording!
I started to write my upcoming EP with my friend/producer Arthur Walwin - we've pretty much got TWO songs in the bag already, and I literally cannot tell you how excited I am to start recording them! This leaves me with one more song to write, and then just gotta work on making the songs the best they can be, so it'll most likely be released early next year (2015). If you haven't heard my first single I released last year, you can hear/watch it here

I'm going to Egypt this month, I literally can't wait to explore a new part of the world that I've never seen before. I feel extremely lucky to have been given such a cool opportunity to explore Egypt, and of course - I'll be taking you guys with me! (Unfortunately, I cannot actually fit you all into my suitcase, but I can take my camera/GoPro - so I'll feel like you're with me!) I won't actually be able to upload whilst I'm there - as I want to experience the week without the pressure of finding wifi and editing (that and I don't have a laptop), so you'll be getting the Egypt Adventure vlogs when I return! I'll be visiting Sharm El Sheikh - which is in the Red Sea Riviera! I'm looking forward to this so much.

When I return home, I have some cool collaborations planned for my channel, one of which is with my lovely homeslice Helen @MelonLadyBaby - and the other two I'll leave a surprise! I'm looking forward to filming with some new people, it can get pretty lonely filming by yourself all of the time. Though saying that, I'm quite satisfied with my own company and always have been.

It's a busy month, which is the best way to live - keeping busy keeps my soul happy. I'm very excited to share my adventures with you. I feel like I've entered a new chapter, and I've just started writing my story. So let's go! Bring it on September!

Beauty Haul

So I bought a few bits and pieces recently that I had either needed, or in my case just wanted... sometimes it's just nice to treat yourself to nice things! I'll be showing you some of my favourite products I've added to my beauty collection, so let's get started!

MaxFactor // False Lash Effect Fusion Mascara - £11.99
I thought it was time to buy a brand new mascara, as I find it's a beauty product you need to buy every few months as they tend to dry out the longer you have them. I decided to try something I had never used before, and this one caught my eye (mainly because the packaging was cool, and Purple), so I went with it and bought the MaxFactor 'False Lash Effect Fusion' Mascara! I must say I'm very impressed with this one, I've been using Sleek and the BarryM Lash Vegas mascaras for quite a long time now (which I still love). This MaxFactor mascara is great, I honestly can't fault it. It coats the lashes without making them look clumpy, and you don't have to apply hundreds of coats. Does it give my lashes the 'False Lash Effect'? Well they certainly look great using this, I've also been using a lash fabricator (which is like mascara, but little fibres you put on your lashes in between coats of mascara to make your lashes look longer) so using these two products together really does give the false lash effect, definitely. I like that the brush is thick too!

Sleek // I-Divine RIO RIO [Limited Edition] Palette - £7.99
This is probably my favourite purchase recently, and so many of you guys have been wondering what eyeshadows I've been using... so this is it. Sleek's 'I-Divine RIO RIO' Limited Edition eyeshadow palette!
I've been using the shade "CACHACA" on the inner corners of my eyes, this shimmery White shade is GORGEOUS. It's a brilliant contrast to use with all of the bright colours you can find in the palette. I think "NIGHT FEVER" (Pink, second from the left at the top) is another one of my favourites, it's just so girly and lovely. As most of you already know, I have a deep love for bright eye makeup - and this is just the perfect palette, it's definitely worth the money - and for a palette, I think it's worth every penny (they're quite cheap!).

Maybelline // Color Tattoo 24hr - £4.99 (each)
Now if you've never used these before, I'd be fairly certain you've seen them in a beauty haul or makeup collection on YouTube. I kept seeing these Maybelline Color Tattoo cream/gel eyeshadow's online, and I always wanted some. These are a BRILLIANT addition to my makeup collection, they really do last a long time on your eyes and do not crease (the main reason I have steered clear from cream based eyeshadows), I'm so impressed with these. I got shades "Eternal Gold" and "And On Bronze" - you can see how beautiful they are. As we're entering Autumn (hooray), I can see these becoming a favourite for the season coming!

Essie // Mint Candy Apple & Sparkle On Top (Twinkle-Belle Duo Kit) - £12.99
I consider myself a HUGE nail varnish lover, as I'm sure I've mentioned before - I can rarely go into a drugstore without picking one up. I've been swooning over Essie polishes for a LONG time, unfortunately their price always put me off (they're usually £8 each, ouch!) but these were in a duo set, and they just spoke out to me (they didn't, I'm just trying to justify buying them to myself). Mint has always been one of my favourite colours, so obviously I was drawn to these, the 'Sparkle On Top' reminded me of 'Mermaid' from Urban Outfitters which is my favourite nail varnish that I own. So yes, I bought these. They did not disappoint me, and now I want even more Essie products, which is going to make my bank account weep.

Garnier // Micellar Cleansing Water - £3.99
Now this ladies (and gentlemen if you're reading, if you are hello!) is what I call a miracle product. I have always used makeup wipes or johnsons baby lotion to remove my makeup (literally, all of my life) until I discovered Garnier's Micellar Cleansing Water! After using this for the first time, I realise what EFFORT it was taking my makeup off with wipes etc, this stuff is like a magical makeup eraser. You just plop a little onto a makeup pad and wipe away (with EASE!).. and it's done. It's cut a lot of time out of my evening routine. It's perfect for all skin types too, and no perfume (much to my disappointment, as you know I love a good smelling product) but this stuff is fabulous. High recommendation from me!

And that's it, those are the best thing's I have bought recently. What do YOU think? Do you have any of these products, if so, what's your opinion?

If you haven't already, make sure you check out my MAKEUP COLLECTION AND STORAGE video!

Summer In The City | 2014

My first ever Meet and Greet!

This is my third year at this YouTube event, and it continues to blow me away each year. This weekend was probably the most special one I have been to, because so many things happened. If you had told past Cherry that she'd be on stage with Dan and Phil, that she'd be on a panel with some of her favourite vloggers AND have her own meet and greet... well I probably wouldn't have believed you.

Events like this really do make me feel overwhelmed, but in a very positive way, seeing my subscriber number become real human beings that I can hug and speak to is just such a wonderful heart warming thing.

My silver playbutton award for surpassing 100,000 subscribers! Ooh shiny!
Now if you don't know already, YouTube rewards their partners with awards for reaching large milestones such as 100,000 and 1 million! You usually fill out a form and they send it to you in the post... so to be asked to get it on the main stage at Summer In The City was a very big surprise! It was a bigger surprise that Dan and Phil were presenting it, I'd never really met them before - but I can tell you they are two lovely and genuine lads, and it was an absolute pleasure meeting them after being subscribed to them both for a long time.

I guess this is where I should say a HUGE thank you, to all of the people who give me unconditional love and support, I can't describe how grateful and thankful I am to all of you for making my life a wonderful one.

Receiving my 100,000 Subscribers Award from YouTube, with Dan and Phil.
After a long day of meeting loads of subscribers all around the venue, and going to watch panels, day one of Summer In The City was over. I had an even bigger day ahead of me, which was Sunday - which would consist of my first panel and my first ever meet and greet. It was safe to say I was extremely anxious and nervous, on top of other emotions (if I'm being honest this was a weekend of emotions high and low).

Sunday morning, I jumped in a taxi and whizzed over to Alexandra Palace for the start of the second day. I headed over to the room I was doing my vlogging panel in, with Louise (SprinkleOfGlitter).

Vlogging Panel - Panorama Room | Sunday 10th August

Louise (SprinkleOfGlitter) and I, before our panel. <3
The panel lasted for 1 hour, I think I did okay - I'll admit my mind went completely blank on some of the questions because I was nervous, but overall it was a positive experience.

I just want to say this woman (Louise) is so lovely, and one of the nicest/kind hearted people I spent time with this weekend. She knew how nervous I was and somehow made me feel a lot better about it, and was just a good friend to me, which I can't thank her enough for. (Thank you, Louise <3)

Later on in the day, I had to sneak out of Louise's GlitterTime (which by the way, was brilliant - she's got a fantastic stage presence!) which she caught me doing and made everyone wave at me. So much for a sneaky quiet exit hey? Slolslolslol.

I didn't want to leave but alas, it was time for my FIRST meet and greet! I was worried about this all weekend, I honestly didn't think many people would come and queue for me... I guess I don't feel like I am worthy of people waiting around for hours to say hello and to have a hug.

My meet and greet was at full capacity, and I was just so lost for words that I almost had a cry afterwards. I just want to say thank you, all of you who came truly made the weekend end on a high note - and I'm sorry if anybody couldn't meet me, I can assure you I wanted to meet you. Also, all of the letters and gifts were so sweet, I came home yesterday - wrapped myself up in my duvet and read all of them. My feelings escaped through my eyes.

I'm not one for putting my feelings or private life on the internet (because, just no) but this month started off really badly, my anxiety has come back in full force and I lost a best friend which has broken my heart. Point being, Summer In The City opened my eyes to how much support I have from countless friends, and so many of you guys - I just wanted to say thank you, which just doesn't seem enough. I'll hopefully be back to my happy positive self soon. Thanks for reading.

(Also thank you to Chris, Gary, Pete, (some of the bestest friends) for putting up with me for 3 days! Thank you Tom, Dave, Jazza, Liam and Luke for organising another spectacular event!)

July Favourites | 2014

Hello Friends! Another month has begun, August has come around rather quickly hasn't it? Where on earth is time going, it still feels like Christmas wasn't that long ago! Eep! July was a pretty cool month, the weather has been absolute glorious (minus those thunderstorms, but hey - we'll just ignore that those happened eh?).

I'm really enjoying this blog, are you? I hope so! So what am I writing about today, well MY JULY FAVOURITES of course! This is a mixed bag of favourites from beauty, films, books and miscellaneous things I've been enjoying over the duration of July!
Silver Diamond iPhone 5 Case // NewLook - £10
This is probably the most "bling" thing I have ever purchased, I was definitely just like a magpie when I saw it. I saw the light shining off it and thought "OOH SPARKLES!" - I just thought it was super fabulous. I've had my pink teddy iPhone case on for months now, which to be honest - I still love very much. I fancied a little bit of a change, I bought this case with the intention of using it for the Summer In The City YouTube event - so I put it onto my phone and then realised it's really hard to take off (I'm useless), so it's certainly here to stay for a while! It's a good job I LOVE IT! I tried to find this phone case on NewLook's website, however I couldn't find it - though I did find one similar here!

Now, I'm a HUGE netflix lover - I recently discovered how to access America Netflix (ooh, naughty), they have SO much better titles on there, including Doctor Who AND Titanic! (I'd have thought UK Netflix would have those on, as they're British?! Alas, they don't. Cry!)

So, I started off with watching a film I had been DYING to watch since it came out at the cinema, but never found the time to actually go and see it - which is WORLD WAR Z. This is a film about a zombie apocalypse, and it's safe to say I probably wouldn't survive one if it really happened in real life. I began watching this film at 1am... and what a bad idea that was - so I turned it off and continued watching it in the daylight, yes I am a big whimp. This film was predicatable, but it was still FANTASTIC. I thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish, it was very intense and kept me watching - I'm also a sucker for a happy ending!

Now we're onto my next FAVOURITE series which is PRETTY LITTLE LIARS! I must admit I started to watch this years ago, and then forgot about it - so I recently restarted the series from the start. And it's just as fantastic as I remember it. It's funny, exciting, romantic and full of mystery! All of the actors/actresses are STUNNING, so it's very easy on the eye.. each episode leaves you wanting MORE! So much more, that I've watched the entire first season in less than a week, oops!

Lastly, is my favourite book. This is a bit of a weird one, but stick with me here! It's called JUST ASK THE UNIVERSE! Now, I'm going to admit - I love believing in things like ghosts, vampires, spiritual guidance and that crystals have healing powers. But this is on a whole different level. It's basically a book on the law of attraction. You send happy thoughts/vibrations into the universe, you'll ATTRACT them... but unfortunately same applies to negative ones. Give it a read, you'll either love it or think it's a load of fudge!

Powder Brush // Real Techniques - £12.99
I've been using my Barry M powder brush for a few months now, and it got to the point I was getting rather annoyed at the hairs falling out and sticking to my face! So I decided to invest in a new powder brush, which is by Real Techniques, and it's GLORIOUS. It's SO soft... like, I can't even describe how soft it is - and it really does do a brilliant job. Once again Real Techniques impresses me, and is certainly my favourite makeup brush brand!

Million Dollar Moisturiser // LUSH - £32.50*
I couldn't do a favourite's without including a product from Lush! THIS SMELLS SO YUMMY. I want to eat this (Note to self: do not eat). To me it smells like toffee and caramel. This is Lush's Million Dollar Moisturiser, and well... it's not lying when you look at the price! HOWEVER... the price may be steep, but I'm completely sold on this product. This has a lovely subtle shimmer within it and here's the fancy part... it has an SFP of 30 - so not only does it moisturise my face, it stops it from burning (that would be if I spent much time outside...ahem!) This is a favourite because of how it smells, how it feels, and what it does... good job Lush!

INSTA-DRI // Sally Hansen - £5.99
Tired of waiting for your nails to dry? Me too! I bought this top coat called INSTA-DRI by Sally Hansen with the hope that it would actually work, but I certainly had my doubts! Why had I not heard of this before... well, no idea to be honest - but I can definitely tell you that this stuff is GREAT if you're a big nail varnish lover like me! I paint my nails on a regular basis (sometimes every day) and there's nothing worse than not being able to go to the toilet or pick things up because you're nails are taking about a year to dry! This stuff claims (and in my opinion does the job well!) to dry your nail varnish in 30 seconds, and gives it a lovely shine. LOVE IT.

Bright Stripe Magnetic Diary // WHSmiths - £9.49
I love to keep organised, if I don't - my mind wants to explode and I end up feeling very stressed and uneasy. So, it was time to buy a brand new diary/planner. This one caught my eye, as it was bright AND IT HAS A MAGNET... okay I get too excited about magnets, don't judge. It's also a two year diary so this beauty is going to last me a very long time indeed. It's a wonderful feeling to be organised!

Check out the video! Do you have any of these products, what are YOUR favourites from July? I love a good recommendation, leave a comment below!
